We have had several cases where our clients who received PPP funds have received loan offers after their PPP loans had been forgiven. The list of who received PPP funds is public information, so this makes it possible for companies to find PPP recipient information and offer additional loans. While this information being public could open the door for fraudulent activity, we have no reason to believe that the offers we’ve seen were fraudulent.
We don’t want to prevent our clients from receiving additional funding, but we wanted to give a heads up that we have seen offers to some of our clients. These offers are not part of the PPP forgiveness process, and these loans would not be eligible for forgiveness like the PPP loans were.
Below are a few examples of offers received by our clients who had received PPP funds.
