Nonprofit Reimbursing Relief Grants Available for Ohio Not-for-Profits

The state of Ohio has announced a grant program to distribute federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act funds to Ohio charitable organizations to “provide assistance to organizations that have accumulated unemployment debt as a result of the pandemic and are devoted to helping Ohioans during difficult times”. Applications for participation in the program must be submitted by Friday, November 27, 2020.

The grants will be given to 501(c)(3) organizations in Ohio who are “reimbursing employers” (click here for more information) who have been negatively impacted by the COVID pandemic and who serve low income residents of Ohio. For those who apply for the grant, notification of approval or denial will be given by December 11, 2020 and those approved should receive the funds by December 21, 2020. Funds received must be spent by December 31, 2020.
