FinCEN has issued a final interim ruling that creates a broad exemption for companies created in the United States as well as US persons who own foreign entities.
For companies formed under foreign law with foreign owners that do business in the united states, the previous deadline extension of March 21, 2025 has now been extended to April 20, 2025 for companies registered before March 21, 2025, or within 30 days of registration, provided it doesn’t meet any of the other exemptions.
